Reveal CommentBen Bradshaw bt Enrique Suarez (May 30) 6-4, 6-0

Player Comments:

  • "It was obvious as soon as the match started that Enrique was a hard hitter! He hit several winners that I had absolutely no chance with. I was fortunate to stay in the set and eventually edge it. Second set was a little more straight forward for me, Enrique making some unforced errors in each game. On another day I'm sure the match would of been closer. Nice to meet you Enrique, and I look forward to a rematch. "  -- Ben
Reveal CommentBen Bradshaw bt Richard Randle (May 27) 6-4, 6-3

Player Comments:

  • "A very enjoyable game of tennis, I've not come across a player quite like Richard yet. His strong back court game had me reeling from the start and I went 4-0 down very quickly. Luckily I was able to adapt my play to come back and see the set out. The second set saw Richard and I use every inch of court space available with some fantastic rallies! Richard missed 2 or 3 important shots at crucial times during the set to allow me to take the win. A very tough match against a strong honest opponent. Thanks Richard!"  -- Ben
Reveal CommentNav Aulkh bt David Morey (May 27) 3-6, 6-3, 7-5

Player Comments:

  • "Another close match against David. He came out fighting in the 1st set. Numerous backhand winners. In the 2nd and 3rd set I managed to get my range and stay in the rallies long enough to volley out afew winners. Looking forward to our next battle."  -- Nav
Reveal CommentEnrique Suarez bt Nav Aulkh (May 24) 6-2, 6-3

Player Comments:

  • "Great match, playing Nav is always challenging. I was lucky to be consistent during both sets and, although Nav improved his game at the second set, my service was on point as well. A very enjoyable match against Nav who is clearly a really good tennis player."  -- Enrique
Nav Aulkh bt Tom Courtenay-Evans (May 18) Walkover

Match of the Group:

Reveal CommentBen Bradshaw bt Martin Durrant (May 4) 7-6 (7-0), 6-7 (5-7), 6-3

Player Comments:

  • "An epic encounter which was completed over the course of three sessions. Martin is a very clever player who manages to find the line on either side of the court every time! Even under intense pressure, Martin just kept returning everything I threw at him in the first two sets. Luckily I managed to find Abit more consistency in the final set to win it. I look forward to our next game and another pint. Cheers Martin. "  -- Ben
Reveal CommentNav Aulkh bt Ben Bradshaw (May 2) 3-6, 6-3, 7-6 (10-8)

Player Comments:

  • "One of my toughest matches were no one deserved to lose. I don't think Ben knows how good he is. Hopefully after today's match he does. Great forehand and awesome backhand. My gameplan of hitting it deep to the backhand and volley the point out was met with down line and cross court passing shots. Any volleys I got back somehow he managed to reach them and play near perfect lobs. In truth he deserved the victory today. I managed to get the 2nd set through afew unforced mistakes and the 3rd set he had 4 match points where I managed to hang on until I edged it. Well played Ben. Looking forward to our next battle!"  -- Nav
Richard Randle bt Helen Southall (May 2) Walkover
Martin Durrant bt Helen Southall (Apr 30) Walkover
Reveal CommentDavid Morey bt Ben Bradshaw (Apr 23) 3-6, 6-1, 6-2

Player Comments:

  • "It was a pleasure to meet Ben today. A very skillful player who drived me crazy in the first set with his wicked angles and lightning speed. The second and third set I managed to stay in the rallies longer which allowed my to take more control. Great fun and look forward to playing you again. Thanks Ben"  -- David
Reveal CommentMartin Durrant bt Nav Aulkh (Apr 23) 6-4, 2-6, 7-6 (7-4)

Player Comments:

  • "Another epic with Nav played over two days and nearly 3 hours. This is our second match and both went to a third-set tie break but this time I won it. Can't wait for the decider. Thanks for the match Nav, you are an awesome opponent - especially when you com to the net."  -- Martin
Reveal CommentTom Courtenay-Evans bt Helen Southall (Apr 22) 6-1, 7-6 (7-5)

Player Comments:

  • "Lovely match with Helen on a beautiful sunny morning in Leamington. Helen took a bit of time to find her form but came back brilliantly from 2-5 in the second set to lead 6-5 before I managed to scrape through on the tie break. Helen is clearly a fantastic tennis player and with a few more matches under her belt will be very tough to beat. "  -- Tom
Reveal CommentNav Aulkh bt Richard Randle (Apr 19) 6-2, 6-4

Player Comments:

  • "A good match on a pleasant evening. Richard started slow but really upped his game in the 2nd set with winners off his forehand and better serving. Well played Richard and looking forward to our next battle."  -- Nav
Reveal CommentMartin Durrant bt Enrique Suarez (Apr 19) 6-3, 6-4

Player Comments:

  • "Great match. Just a single broken serve in the first set at the only break-point achieved. Second set was more tactical and lead switched back and forth until I managed to serve out at the fourth or fifth match-point. Enrique is an excellent player bit a little rusty. When he's back on it I'm sure the result will be different."  -- Martin
Reveal CommentMartin Durrant bt Richard Randle (Apr 16) 6-2, 6-2

Player Comments:

  • "A really pleasant match played in good spirit and fine conditions. I enjoyed meeting and playing Richard very much. "  -- Martin
Reveal CommentNav Aulkh bt Helen Southall (Apr 12) 7-5, 6-0

Player Comments:

  • "Helen has one of the best single hand backhands I have seem for a long time. Her forehand is great and picks off any short balls. If her serves where more consistent and her fitness levels better the score line could have been very different. The more match play she has the better those two aspects will become. A very enjoyable match against Helen who is clearly a really good tennis player and at the start of getting back to her former best. "  -- Nav
Reveal CommentEnrique Suarez bt Tom Courtenay-Evans (Apr 10) 1-6, 6-3, 6-3

Player Comments:

  • "Great match, first of this round, highly competitive. Tom is a great player, very consistent a relentless, hence he won the first set. I had to level up my game at start of the second set, being more precise when serving and accelerating my forehand to the most of my ability. The third set was fairly similar to the second, however, there were a few times when I felt I may lost a service game. Looking forward to play you again Tom!" -- Enrique
