Player Comments:

  • "Really fun match played on slightly iced over courts at Thistle! I've definitely played better than usual and the conditions at my 'home' courts suited my game better. In the first I was able to apply pressure and win those key points, allowing me to take the first set 6.1 In the second my level dropped off a bit, John was getting more used to the surface and conditions and raced away to a double break lead at 3:0. I was able re-group, mount a come back and take the tightly contested second 6:4. Thanks for a very enjoyable match John!"  -- Pawel
Reveal CommentPawel Milto bt Daniel Proudfoot (Nov 21) 7-5, 6-7 (2-7), [10-1]

Player Comments:

  • "What a crazy and tough match, with so many swings of momentum. A proper battle with bloody knee and elbow! Early on in the first I was error prone and gave away many points, with Dan getting ahead by two breaks of serve. Somehow I managed to tighten up my game and claw back step by step, completing a great comeback from 2*-5 to 7:5. My momentum continued into the 2nd set, where it was my turn to get ahead by two breaks. Dan mounted his comeback to lead 5:4. I had one more good chance when serving for the match at 6*-5 - again Dan came back and then played a strrong tie break to take the 2nd set. Another swing of momentum came when I played good early points in the match tie break and got a strong lead to 7:0. Thanks for the battle Dan!"  -- Pawel
Reveal CommentDaniel Proudfoot bt Seb Cotton (Nov 20) 6-4, 6-1

Player Comments:

  • "Really tight first set that almost went down to the wire, with only one break. Skiddy and surprisngly warm conditions. Thanks for coming over to Abercorn Seb"  -- Daniel
Reveal CommentPawel Milto bt Matthew Strachan (Nov 19) 7-5, 6-3

Player Comments:

  • "First match after a while and straight onto damp and skiddy courts at Merchiston club. I really struggled early on in the first set, going down one break to 0:3, then all the way to 3:5 with Matt serving for set. I was able to tighten up my game and came back to take the set 7:5. In the second I was off to a good start, breaking to start and getting to 2:0 lead, only to lose the momentum and let Matt even it and then get ahead to 3:2. We've had period of no or short rallies thanks to good serving, and then some tough games with punishing and tactical rallies. Luckily I was able to play more solid tennis from that point and just managed to make the important points go my way and take the second set 6:3. Thanks for the match Matt! "  -- Pawel
Reveal CommentJohn Lee bt Daniel Proudfoot (Nov 7) 6-3, 6-1

Player Comments:

  • "Fun match with Daniel at Abercorn on a nice night for tennis. A lot of long deuce points and close games . Daniel has a dangerous slice serve that I had to just chip or slice back, getting some fortunate bounce in turn. I was luckier with the lines tonight as well. Thanks Daniel for hosting me; hope to play again and best wishes the rest of your matches. "  -- John
Reveal CommentJohn Lee bt Seb Cotton (Nov 4) 6-4, 7-5

Player Comments:

  • "Another great match with Seb on a nice morning at the Meadows. Both sets were really close with the majority of games going to deuce. Seb really deserved the second set; I was able to survive down 1-5 and pull out a comeback. Thanks Seb and best wishes with the rest of your matches."  -- John
