Match Results:
Player Comments:
- "An enjoyable match where quite a few games (especially in the second set) were longer rallies and went to deuce. Thanks for the game Pawel it was good to meet you. Nick" -- Nick
Player Comments:
- "A cold and blustery winters afternoon at Tredegar park was the setting for this match. The first conventional set started off with holds of serve until I stole a break at 2 games all. Nicola played some good attacking tennis, hitting some great approaches but making more mistakes on the volleys than I am sure she is used to. The second set was a different ball game with more of Nicola's net skills on display, perhaps having adjusted to the conditions and bounce. Nicola took a 3-1 lead and played some b/h excellent slices. At 4-2 down Nicola had the chance to break which would have perhaps sealed the set but instead I held and this game was probably then turning point for the game & match. Very enjoyable tennis and a pleasure to meet you! " -- Nick
Player Comments:
- "Some hard fought games and points I just managed to be more solid today on a few key duece games. Cheers for the game Pawel" -- David
Player Comments:
- "A match played in good spirits as we tried to dodge the raindrops at beechwood park. Footing was tricky but we still managed some nice exchanges and few early long duece games. Some nice slice exchanges and all court play made for an interesting match up. I managed to take it in straight sets. Think we were both glad to escape injury after a couple of awkward footing moments. Thanks for the game Nicky. All the best" -- David
