Player Comments:

  • "Finished off the leagues games with Kolyo. He started the game quickly applying the pressure and racing into a 4-1 league. From then the game turned i began to reduce my errors and Kolyo missed more . I took the next 7 games and in turn the first set 6-4. The second set was more straightforward and i stayed ahead. Cheers for the game. "  -- Dean

Reveal CommentDean Whitestone bt Arnoldas Miliskevicius (Apr 26) 6-2, 6-3

Player Comments:

  • "Tough match physically for both players with lots of extended rallies. Arnoldas was difficult to brake down playing defensively and keeping loads of balls in play. I had to remain patient and make him work harder than me. It was not easy. Cheers."  -- Dean
Reveal CommentKolyo Chanev bt Antony Parselle (Apr 24) 6-4, 6-0

Player Comments:

  • "Despite the windy conditions it was good game between me and Anthony. First set we both struggled to holds our service games, but at the end I've managed to close it down with 6/4. Second set I've started to play with more control and get used to it with the wind, but couldn't say the same with Anthony. He was struggling with his shots and with a bit of frustration to the weather conditions I took second set with 6/0. Good to meet you again Toni. Hopefully see you next round again! "  -- Kolyo
Reveal CommentDean Whitestone bt Matthew Davis (Apr 24) 6-0, 6-2

Player Comments:

  • "Nice morning again for it but with a stronger than expected breeze down the court. The first set disappeared with quick fire points and limited rallies . I was not giving many points away on my ground strokes, just with my double faults. Matt probably gave more points away than usual. More of the same second set and today it seemed more points were given away by both players than earned. All the best."  -- Dean
Reveal CommentDean Whitestone bt Antony Parselle (Apr 21) 6-2, 6-2

Player Comments:

  • "Lovely sunny evening for some tennis. The points seemed pretty quick fire with the odd longer rally. Yet we both still had a good workout with some decent points from both players. I managed to get ahead and stay ahead although Ant always does a good job at mixing his play up. Cheers for the game."  -- Dean
Reveal CommentKolyo Chanev bt Matthew Davis (Apr 16) 7-6 (7-4), 6-4

Player Comments:

  • "Perfect weather conditions and what a game between me and Matthew. First set was tight with both had breaks in service games, but fairly it went to a tie brake. I started with ace to take an easy point and and had a good lead to 4/0. Couple of unforced errors from Matthew and took the tie brake. Second set starts similar way and Matthew again first managed to break my service game, but couldn't stay ahead and I had a rebreak. No more surprises until at 4/5 in Matthews service game he made the first double fault in the match to give me to match points with 15/40. He managed to save the first one when I put my forhand out, but I took the second match point. Maybe Matthew run out of fuel, but score was close and could go either way. "  -- Kolyo
Reveal CommentArnoldas Miliskevicius bt Antony Parselle (Apr 13) 6-1, 1-6, 6-1

Player Comments:

  • "What a weird score!! It didn't really reflect the match. We were both competitive throughout. But going 5-0 down at the start didn't help! I tried to just play the basics in the second set and it worked. But the 3rd set slipped away after some really long battling rallies in the 2nd took their toll! It just seemed whoever got ahead thrived on the confidence and whoever was behind just couldn't get back. If either of us dropped our level the other took advantage. A really good game to play in despite losing! Well played Arnoldas who deserved the win and just edged it (If you can call 6-1 'edging it'!)"  -- Antony

Player Comments:

  • "Great weather for this game. Ant and I have played a number of times now and have had some classics but this probably wasn’t one of them. Saying that though it was a decent game with some decent rallies in. We probably both were not at peak fitness and that told as the match went on. Having taken the first set 6-3 and then losing the second 6-2, the start to the third was crucial to the outcome of this game and with me racing out to a 4-1 lead it seemed likely I would see it out……..and see it out I did, despite Ants slight revival to 4-3, I managed to take the next game which was decisive in seeing this out 6-3. Overall a great game as always ! Look forward to the next one!! "  -- Matthew
Reveal CommentArnoldas Miliskevicius bt Kolyo Chanev (Apr 8) 7-5, 7-5

Player Comments:

  • "Good quality game with Arnoldas. Deserved win after 2 long sets with ups and downs. I had an early lead with 4-1 in the first set, but then Arnoldas changed his racket and decided to lower the pace of the game and this one was the key to win in straight sets. Congrats Arnoldas! "  -- Kolyo
