- "Always a gruelling match with Arnoldas and it was another step in the right direction for me following my injury. I was hoping to be competitive today following some recent heavy defeats and I was for at least two sets. Arnoldas played very aggressive and hit a number of aces and some great winners. I stuck in there during the 2nd set and played a solid tiebreaker to take the match into a decider however after this Arnoldas was much more consistent and in the end deserved the win! - "Another great tennis match between me and Matthew. Playing only couple of games in the last month after coming from injury was crucial for the score in the first set for Matthew. He was giving too many unforced errors even we had a close rallies. Second set he reduced those unforced shots and I started to miss couple of first serves. I was constantly up in the score and serving for the match at 5/4 was the worst game I've played until that moment and after 0/40 Matthew manage to brake for 5/5 and then took his service game for 6/5. After I manage to get to tie brake, Matthew missed a set point at 6/5 - really close backhand slice down the line. I took the match with 9/7, but just wanted to say great game Matthew. - "A really good match with Arnoldas as always. Arnoldas had a very strong first set and continued it into the second taking a 4-2 lead and going 30-0 up. However I continued to fight for every point and take it to a tiebreak where we both played tentatively, both cautious about making a mistake which I edged to take into a third. Again arnoldas got off to a flying start with a 4-1 lead before the momentum shifted and I took it to 4-5 with my first match point. Unfortunately I failed to take it and we ended up in a tiebreak where Arnoldas took a well deserved win. Thanks and good luck with your remaining matches!" -- Kieran

- "Another great tennis match between me and Erlens. First set I was 3-5 down, but some how managed to find way to brake back and win with 7-5. Second set was mirror to first one, after I took an early lead and when I was serving at 5-3 this time Erlens broke back. He closed the set with 7-5. In the decider I've manage to pull out with 4-1 and didn't loose my focus all the way to closed down with 6-1. We both didn't play our best tennis, but still managed to play out over 2 and a half hours on 29 degrees. " -- Kolio

- "Lovely game on Sunday morning. It took me some time to get used to the surface as I haven’t played at artificial grass for a while and as a result I was down 1-5 on first set. Then I won few games but Tony managed to close the set 6-4. A was more confident in second set and tried to reduce amount of unforced errors to tie the game 6-4. - "Really high quality and fun game with John. The first 6 games went to deuce multiple times until each time we both managed to just serve it out. The turning point was breaking serve to go 4-3 up and holding serve to win the set. It could have gone either way though. John is great at the net so I had to keep him at the baseline somehow meaning we played some long rallies that had everything from backhand rallies to lobs to drop shots. Usually within the same point! The second set didn't start well for me as John raced in to a 3-0 lead. I managed to claw back the next 3 games though until back on serve at 4-4 I broke serve and went on to serve it out. It was a great game with some great shots. Looking forward to the next one. - "Great game. Not so much at the start as Janis raced into a 5-1 lead without me being able to do anything about it. Janis is a great player so to come back to 5-4 gave me some encouragement going into the second set. I found my fitness and battled to stay in the match. Both set 2 and 3 turned on the 4-4 game. in second Janis couldn't quite take break point and I couldn't take the opportunity to break in the 3rd. Set 3 we both played with more confidence. Unlike 1 & 2 where some errors had given points this one had almost no errors or and no double faults. Every point had to be won. Such a great battle in set 3 which was possibly the best tennis i've played in years. But not quite enough against Janis. Well played. Cant wait for the next one!" -- Antony

- "Fun game to start the season. First set involved lots of breaks of serves, a few lucky net-cords for me before Janis pulled away at 3-3 to take the set with some strong serving. I broke to open the second set and went 2-0 up before some good volleys from Janis brought it back to 3-3 again. The games from here went to Deuce but Janis played better during the important points to take the next three games and win the match. Thanks for the game Janis!" -- John

- "Not sure I deserved to win this one. Joseph was the better player. I couldn't get my shots together and maybe short of practice and fitness so had to resort to match play and soak up the harder shots and slow the game down with safer defensive play forcing Joseph into errors or missing the higher risk shots by making him play one more shot. I played better in the second set but still wasn't the better player on the day. Im glad I won as its a league match so it's more about match play. But didn't really deserve to. Lovely day though!
