- "Really enjoyable match under the September rain, at least in the first set. Despite the wet conditions we didn't gave up and played until the end. The first set went into a deserved tie brake, where Wayne lost it dramatically with his only second double fault for the all set. In the second I've lost the rhythm and my service completely and Wayne was in position at 5-2 serving for the set, but lost his chance to bring the match into the decider. It was really great experience. Thanks for the game. Looking forward to see you on tennis courts Wayne " -- Kolio

- "Kolyo edges Stan the Man in a thriller match which ended with service double fault. It's always pleasure to play with Stanislav and if my memory is correct I think we're 2/2 in all 4 appearance between us in the league. Today the only difference was the crucial points at the end of the sets, where you have to show patient and consistency. It was great fun and friendly discussion between the games. Thanks for the game and looking forward for the next one Stanislav! " -- Kolio

In the second it was the 7th game, which was the turning point for the set. There was nice rallies and winners from both sides of the net, but slightly moreunforced errors from Ionut today. See you soon mate. " -- Kolio

- "Long and exhausting game with Arnoldas. We now each other game quite well now and it's always close match. The key moment was in 3rd set when Arnoldas was 5 2 up and I was serving to stay in the match at 30/40. Arnoldas missed a ball (match point) on the net. Then somehow I've managed to turn things around and get the tie brake, where I've missed couple of match points, but what a drama again. 3rd set was really mental battle between each other. Good luck with the rest mate" -- Kolio

- "Another competitive match versus Janis with numerous leader changes and great rallies. Despite not playing for more than a month, I started well, secured first set and was serving for a match at second however Janis showed good consistent tennis and easily broke couple of my serves, won tie-break and first 2 games in the decider. I have then managed to take back control over the game and seal the victory. Well played, Janis. Good luck on next matches!!!" -- Stanislav

Player Comments:
- "Another match between me and Janis. In the first couple of games we played nervous and the crucial was the 7th game, where I've managed to brake and most importantly hold my serve for 5-3 even I was down with 15-40 in the beginning. Janis first serve wasn't working today and I've closed the set with 6-3. That gave me opportunity to serve first in the second and take an early lead. That gave me boost with my confidence in the shots and I found myself with 5-0 up and 15-40 on Janis service game when he managed to safe 3 match points. This is where the level of the game increase from both sides and somehow Janis manage to get couple more games, but it was too late for him. The match point was a rally with more than 20 shots. What a game ;) " -- Kolio

Player Comments:
- "Nice match played in good sprits with Bradley. With some challenging gusty wind I played a little more cautiously which gave me a bit more consistency and allowed me to take the first set. The second set Bradley changed his tactics to also be a little more cautious. Which meant on both side of the net it wasn't the most free swinging shots that you'd perhaps hope for but rather who would make the first mistake. It was certainly a lot closer in the second with Bradley taking a 5-3 lead. I managed to get some consistency back and take the set. We had a nice free hit after the match where it's obvious Bradley has got some great technique and is going to be challenging player in future matches. Thanks for the match Bradley." -- Lee

- "Despite some unusual playing conditions we had a really close match. It was windy directly from one side to the other so we played against or with the wind and one end had direct sunlight in the eyeline. Alan has a really good first serve which was being seriously hampered by the wind. We were both hampered by the wind or sun during play also. But I managed to keep the ball in court slightly more often than Alan. That said it could have gone either way. Both games stayed within a game difference til the very end and we both managed to play some decent shots in a game play in fun game played in good spirits. Looking forward to the next match in normal conditions! Not looking forward to the big first serve so much!! " -- Antony

Player Comments:
- "Fun match with James today in miserable weather but we both gave it a good go. Think James has a nice game and great potential. I played like I should usually do today so was pleased to hit solid shots with not many errors in contrast to my other matches in the league so far. Best of luck with the rest of your matches James. Player Comments:
- "Another warm weather match!! Phewww! Even though we played at 10am I was sweating heavily after the 2nd game. The match started well for me with James hitting a few errors but James was getting a little unlucky with some nice looking shots just hitting the net cord. James pulled back a couple of games towards the end of the first set but I was able to serve it out. The second set was a lot closer with James taking the lead a number of times with some great shots including the shot of the match with a cross court return winner. At 4-4 I was able to hold serve for one of the few times in this set and then managed to take the match with a break of serve. James is certainly one of those players that make you play those extra balls. Nice match." -- Lee

Player Comments:
- "A really hot Saturday morning but luckily Anton knew which court would be shady at that time. Anton took a while to find his game but I could see if he did I was going to be in trouble. So first set went quite quickly as i stayed more consistent. Second set was different as Anton found his game and could see some great shots that will come back with more games played. I was a bit more consistent so managed to come back from 4-3 down to see it out. Really good game and really good to meet Anton and have a good game." -- Antony

Player Comments:
- "A match that needs to be resumed or rematches. Was played in good spirits for the most part, however being 4-0 cruise control wasted energy doing stupid mistakes to have to win it on a tie break then bombed the second set to try again properly in the 3rd. Was left at 3-1 to me, Deuce on Antony's serve after we had a disagreement over sporting etiquette... I don't think the hot weather aided our cause this day and would be happy to complete it or rematch from scratch on a more sensible day to play on. " -- Bradley

Reveal CommentLee Wadhams bt Anton Krastev (Sep 8) 6-2, 6-2
Player Comments:
- "A really energy-sapping warm evening for a game of tennis. First time playing Anton and managed get off to a good start in the first set. Anton was hitting some nice shots but fortunately for me they were just dropping out which helped me secure the first set. The second set started off a closer affair with Anton taking an early 2-1 lead. I think the heat was effecting us both, possibly Anton a little more, with a combination of fortunate points in my favour and some errors from Anton helping me secure the second set and match. Was an enjoyable first match against Anton and it's obvious to see that when had a few more matches to get his feel he's going to be a force to be reckoned with!! " -- Lee
Reveal CommentAntony Parselle bt John Tiernan (Sep 6) 6-2, 6-4
Player Comments:
- "A really good match with John on a gloriously sunny morning. We seem to compliment each others game so the rallies can be long. Lots of mix up of net play, volleys and base line groundstrokes. Inevitably most games went to deuce which I managed to get the majority of which was the difference in the end. Really close game with some great shots played. Looking forward to the next one!!" -- Antony
Reveal CommentAntony Parselle bt Joseph Morrissey (Sep 5) 6-1, 7-6 (7-5)
Player Comments:
- "We have played each other so many times there aren't many surprises. But the heat of the day had a huge effect on the game. It was tiring and really hot at one end. We both looked forward to the two games at the shaded end! I managed to take the first set while Joseph was still finding his game. He did in the second going into a 2-0 lead. I managed to get within a game for a while. Then although Joseph stayed a game ahead I managed to hold serve for the tiebreak in a much closer hard fought set. Being at the shady end for tiebreak helped me i think. As i went 4-2 up. Only for it to be 4-4 before I knew it. Luckily I took a few tired points to limp over the line. I don't think either of us wanted a third set in the heat! Good game." -- Antony

- "What can I say? This was a physically exhausting match, both because of the sunny weather and the many long rallies that were played. Antony managed to keep his nose ahead in a tight tie-break and bag the first set. The second set I managed to play a little more consistent and again every point seemed to be a real battle to win it. Having managed to win the second I was able to take the consistency into the 3rd and served it out for the win. It was a really enjoyable battle. Looking forward to the extreme conditions we'll play in next match :-) " -- Lee

Player Comments:
- "An incredibly close match with Alan. Alan started off the first set well with some big serving that put him 3-1 ahead. I managed to close the gap and from then on we were flip flopping as to who was in front. This carried on even into the tie break where there was little gap in the score until eventually I managed to get the winning point. It was such a close set though. Into the second and Alan adjusted his tactics with some great drop shots and went into 3-0 lead. I somehow managed to pull it back to 3-3 but every game was close. At 4-4 I was able to break Alan's serve and nervously served for the match which thankfully I did. It was a really competitive match played in good humour. Thanks Alan, looking forward to the next battle." -- Lee
