- "We started in the rain and I got off to a good start in the first set. Maggie took the lead in the second set and the sun came out. We had several very long games and lots of deuces, the momentum going back and forth. We both had chances to serve for the set but ended up at 6 all and a tiebreaker. Really enjoyable match - lots of longer points and Maggie had me running all over the court. Time to put our feet up now and watch some more Wimbledon! " -- Angie

The second set was the same in terms of deuce games, but I did manage to win a share of the ad points resulting in a tighter score to level things up. We had to stop for a rain shower at 5-4 (deuce) in the second set, fortunately we were able to take shelter on the pavilion veranda until it stopped. We stepped back on to court tentatively to complete the set and then both decided to chance it and play a tie-break to finish. Lovely to play singles with you Julie, it's been a while.
