Player Comments:
- "Nice early start. Enjoyable game played in good spirits. Oke no where near 100% fitness which hampered his game considerably. He played some lovely shots and was unlucky not to nick a few more points here and there over the course of the match. Martin was very consistent and eased to victory in this one. Looking forward to our next encounter" -- Martin
Reveal CommentMartin Walker bt AbdulAzeez Badmus (Oct 10) 6-1, 6-0
Player Comments:
- "The damp courts didnt suit either players hard hitting style so it was a case of playing the court rather than hitting winners. With both players sliding it was a case of slow accurate shots to dictate the play and Martin played the match in that way. Plenty of drop shots followed by precise lobs made this a comfortable victory. Great effort from Abdul and I'm sure we will have a much closer game in dry conditions. All the best for the remaining fixtures. " -- Martin

Reveal CommentAbdulAzeez Badmus bt Paul Fryer (Sep 18) 2-6, 6-2, 7-5
Player Comments:
- "Early morning game started at 08:10 It was a nice and competitive match with loads of long rallies and deuce. In the 2nd set we played a game where we deuced 10times! After losing the first set I strove hard to win the 2nd hoping the 3rd was going to be easier as I thought Paul was getting tired but I was wrong, he seemed to get a boost of energy and played the 3rd set like it was the first. I was lucky to have won as it could have gone either way. This was my first game with Paul and I hope it won't be the last, I enjoyed every bit of it. Thanks Paul and all the best in the rest of your matches.....Azeez " -- AbdulAzeez

Player Comments:
- "What a great game. The first set could have gone either way. With light fading in the second set, Oke was going for the big hitting shots that ended with quite a few unforced errors or I managed to scramble back for winners. Good luck for the rest of the league. " -- Ian

Reveal CommentMartin Walker bt Daniel Sayers (Sep 12) 6-3, 6-0
Player Comments:
- "A strong start from Martin and was quickly in control at 5 nil. Then a sitter volley missed upset the rhythm and Martin made a series of unforced errors to make it 5 - 1 Credit to Dan at this point he changed the game and slowed things down and lobbed a lot. He took the next 2 games before Martin finally found his game again. Normal service resumed for Martin in the 2nd set and he ran out 6 nil. Some long rallies in the 2nd set and great effort from both players. Good luck for your remaing fixtures." -- Martin

Some really nice rallies in this one and some outstanding lobs throughout the match from Paul. On another day Paul would definitely get some games on the board. Reveal CommentDaniel Sayers bt Andrew Thorley (Sep 11) 6-3, 6-4
Player Comments:
- "Started well going 5-0 up before I was pulled back to 5-3 and then closed it out for 6-3. Lots of long rallies and a much busier second set back and forth the whole way to 4-4 before I broke and held to take the set. Lots of slice rallies to get the blood pumping. Good luck in the rest! :)" -- Daniel
Reveal CommentMartin Walker bt Andrew Thorley (Sep 4) 6-0, 6-0
Player Comments:
- "Nice morning for the match . Very solid performance saw Martin make virtually no unforced errors which made this a comfortable victory. Shot of the match was a great forehand down the line winner from Andrew. He was also unlucky with a range of other shots as he stuck with his attacking approach. A valiant effort today from Andrew and with more court time he will definitely chalk some wins up soon. Great attitude from both players and ill look forward to our next match." -- Martin
