"An empty court serves nobody"

Comedian Tony Hawks, co-founder of Tennis for Free and a friend to LTL, wants tennis courts to be free for all under 16s if no one else is using them:

"An empty court serves nobody,” runs his slogan. His reasons:

  • The obesity crisis
  • The NHS is on its knees
  • Young people are spending too much time looking at screens
  • Empty courts provide no revenue to councils.

He is sending a petition to James Brockenshire, the Secretary of State for local government. If you agree with him, you can lend your support and sign up at here.
