Player Comments:

  • "In the first set Reece went 2-1 ahead before I had a run of 5 straight games to win the first set 6-2. In the second set I went 3-1 ahead but Reece came back to level at 3-3. At that stage I felt it was anyone's set but I managed to win the seventh game which perhaps was a turning point. I then defended my lead which made for rather tentative tennis but ultimately helped me to get across the line. Thank you for the game Reece and hopefully you can remain in group 1."  -- Paul

Player Comments:

  • "Good and fair match Reece. I was leading 5-1 and won the first set 6-4. In the second set, Reece was ahead 5:4 and 6:5 and was able to win the set. But I didn't want to play a third set and kept my nerve in the tie-break. Good luck Reece 😊"  -- Mansoor
Reveal CommentMansoor Butt bt Manuel Sanabria (Jun 27) 6-0, 6-0

Player Comments:

  • "Since Manuel has only been playing tennis for 7 months, that was a big level difference! Manuel was a pleasure to meet you, you are young, fit and have potential. Just practice hard."  -- Mansoor
Reveal CommentMansoor Butt bt Paul Bundock Steel (Jun 23) 6-1, 6-3

Player Comments:

  • "The first set started with a break for me, I hit all my serves and won 6-1. In the second set, up to 3:3, there were only serve losses for both and slightly longer ball changes. I took a 4:3 lead. The thunderstorm came but I was able to break Paul and won 6:3. Paul just keeps getting better. Thanks and good luck Paul."  -- Mansoor

Reveal CommentMansoor Butt bt Ogba Ogbimi (Jun 20) 1-6, 7-5, 6-3

Player Comments:

  • "Overjoyed that I won the match in the third set and was able to take my revenge this time! In the first set I didn't find my game at all, hardly any ball changes, quick points and a lot of mistakes by me. In the second set I was up 4-1 but Ogba came back and this time I made few mistakes and broke again at 6-5 to win the set. In the third set I lost my first serve game, was able to break back, changed my tactics a bit from the last match and was successful 💪 Good aggressive play by Ogba. Good luck buddy"  -- Mansoor

Player Comments:

  • "The first set was going nicely for me but Dave persisted and managed to get one break back whilst keeping his serve. The second set was a reversal of the first as I went 3 behind. Dave gets a lot of swerve on his lefty serve, which needs a lot of focus to get it returned, particularly on the AD side. A good match. Until next time!"  -- Paul
  • "Enjoyable game as always with Paul, well played... see you on the court again soon" -- Dave

Player Comments:

  • "The score in the first set does not reflect how close most of the games were. The second set was even closer with multiple deuces in the first game and then Ian coming back from 5-2 down to 5-5. I managed to just get over the line by winning the last two games, again with a few deuces. A good match."  -- Paul
