Reveal CommentPatrick Zebedee bt Abhishek Sharma (Mar 15) 6-4, 4-6, [12-10]

Player Comments:

  • "Close all the way, with lots of deuce games as well. I think we both started out trying to play our shots (results varied!), but it got a bit more cagey in the deciding set tie break. At 6-9 down, I thought I was done, but I somehow got over the line. Always a pleasure, Abishek!"  -- Patrick
Reveal CommentMark Stone bt Patrick Zebedee (Mar 12) 6-0, 6-1

Player Comments:

  • "Patrick was carrying a back strain so really impaired his ability to move. Am sure we will have close match in the future."  -- Mark
Reveal CommentPatrick Zebedee bt Gianluca Spadano (Feb 19) 6-3, 6-3

Player Comments:

  • "That it took two hours for 18 games probably tells the story. Lots of deuces and long points, especially in the latter games. Gianluca just kept getting the ball back, and was giving me a real workout chasing back for lobs. Thank you for an enjoyable - if tiring - match, Gianluca!"  -- Patrick
Reveal CommentNick Newton bt Abhishek Sharma (Feb 18) 6-3, 6-3

Player Comments:

  • "The sun glaring off a damp court was awful from one end, but when it got cloudier we managed some really good rallies. Both sets were well contested to 3-3 before I pulled away."  -- Nick
Reveal CommentNick Newton bt Uchenna Adimonye (Feb 17) 6-4, 6-4

Player Comments:

  • "Very tough match, I had to fight hard for both sets!"  -- Nick
Reveal CommentUchenna Adimonye bt Gianluca Spadano (Feb 16) 6-3, 6-3

Player Comments:

  • "I started off strong bolting away to a 4-0 lead in the first set. My first serves were consistent and I felt it would be an early night. Not to be. Luca picked up form, and I suspect mine dropped. He went on to win 3 straight games pulling the scores to 4-3. I managed to stop his comeback and closed off the game 6-3. In the second set he took a 2-1 lead, and I had to come from behind to claim the set. All the best Luca."  -- Uchenna
Reveal CommentNick Newton bt Mark Stone (Feb 11) 6-1, 6-3

Player Comments:

  • "I finally felt I was getting a bit more control with my new racket in this match, whereas Mark seemed to make more errors than usual. Still, the scoreline doesn't really reflect how many of the games were close and hard fought."  -- Nick
Reveal CommentUchenna Adimonye bt Patrick Zebedee (Feb 5) 6-1, 6-0

Player Comments:

  • "Luckily for me Patrick's first serve wasn't as consistent tonight, coupled with a few gifts of unforced errors that gave me an advantage. All the best in your remaining games Patrick. "  -- Uchenna
Reveal CommentMark Stone bt Uchenna Adimonye (Jan 28) 6-3, 7-5

Player Comments:

  • "Thanks Uche - great game and very close as always. Your speed around the court is amazing. Good luck with your other matches."  -- Mark
Reveal CommentUchenna Adimonye bt Abhishek Sharma (Jan 26) 6-2, 6-1

Player Comments:

  • "First match of the year. Felt we both suffered from match rustiness with the main difference being I had fewer unforced errors. Thanks Abhishek and all the best. "  -- Uchenna

Player Comments:

  • "The tie break says it all. It could be a slugfest but in typical St Mark's testing windy conditions it was probably more who coped best. A smattering of long deuce games saw us both struggle to truly dominate and leave us both with priorities to iron out those troublesome errors. Great spirit and advertisement for the group 3 gladiators . it's going to be a entertaining set of matches. FORZA GRUPA TRE. :-)"  -- Peter
