A competitive winter round in Waltham Forest with a couple of close and exciting races for the group crowns. Thanks to everyone who took part and we hope you enjoyed your time on court, despite the weather being "too cold for tennis" at times. Here's to many more matches throughout 2019!
It was a close run thing for the gold in group one, with Ilya and Sol finishing level on six points at the top. Ultimately it all comes down to their head to head and after " a lot of running and dealing with pressure" it was Ilya who emerged triumphant over two tight sets to back up his promotion with another title winning display - well played both. Kudos to Stuart for scheduling well to score bonus points and a prize.

Michael played every match and earned bonus points to leave nothing to chance in the race for the prize. This proved to be a successful strategy as he held his nerve to add four tough wins to his tally and climb into the lead. Eric also showed scheduling prowess and with three victories and a point from an epic defeat to Chris under his belt too, he narrowly clinches the silver. Now third placed Chris finished undefeated from his four matches and this included victories over both of the top two, so what might have happened had he played a couple more?
